Seller Economics

Marketplace fees, ad break-evens and real margins for ecommerce and DTC sellers.

Break-Even ROAS Calculator

The ROAS you need just to break even — and the target ROAS to hit a profit goal.

Ecommerce Profit Margin Calculator

Real per-order profit and margin after COGS, marketplace fees, shipping and ad cost.

What you actually keep when you sell online

Listed price is not profit. Between COGS, marketplace fees, payment processing, shipping and ad spend, the “profitable” sale is often anything but. These calculators show your real per-order economics — and the ad-spend line (break-even ROAS) below which a campaign quietly loses money.

The two numbers every seller should know

Break-even ROAS — 1 divided by your contribution margin. If your margin after all costs is 25%, any campaign below 4.0 ROAS is losing money, full stop. True net margin per order — price minus COGS, fees, shipping and allocated ad cost. Know these two and most pricing and ad decisions make themselves.
